Aloha and welcome to Rainbow Bark-Second Season.,the second installment in a collection of abstract images that celebrates the fascinating colors, textures and forms found in the bark of the Rainbow Eucalyptus Tree!
Two years ago the original Rainbow Bark project found me as I discovered a grove of Rainbow Eucalyptus trees and noticed the amazing colors, textures and forms created as the bark aged. I was fascinated and had to photograph the beautiful bark of this amazing tree! The Rainbow Eucalyptus Tree continuously sheds its outer layers of grayish bark which slowly turns multicolored shades of red, blue, purple, yellow, orange and green. As the bark splits open to accommodate the growth of the tree.,it twists and curls creating flowing curves and graceful lines. This process creates unique shapes and beautifully colored textures and patterns. Rainbow Bark-Second Season continues the celebration of the colors, textures and forms found in the bark of the Rainbow Eucalyptus Tree!
